Rs. 58.88 Crores Dividend for Shareholders of NHDC.

NHDC has registered a net profit of Rs. 575.64 Crores during the Financial Year 2012-13. The Corporation has also approved a dividend of Rs. 58.88 Crores for the Financial Year 2012-13 in its AGM to its shareholders NHPC & Govt. of Madhya Pradesh in the ratio of their equity contribution of 51% & 49% respectively. The revenue of the NHDC during the year was Rs. 1095.45 Crores. NHDC’s generation of electricity from its Indira Sagar & Omkareshwar Projecs was 4160.49 Million Units against the target of 3360 Million Units. While addressing the Press Conference, Shri R.S. Mina, Managing Director, NHDC informed that NHDC Limited is a largest hydropower producer in the State of Madhya Pradesh and the total power produced from both the Projects is supplied to Madhya Pradesh only. NHDC has also been accredited with “Excellent” Rating by Department of Public Enterprises, Govt. of India for third consecutive year against the achievements of various targets of MOU between NHPC & NHDC for the year 2011-12 Madhya Pradesh Government has announced special additional package for Project Affected Families (PAF) of Omkareshwar Project on 7th June, 2013. Shri Mina also informed that NHDC has applied for allotment of coal block(s) in response to Ministry of Coal notice in December,2012 for its 1320 MW Rewa Thermal Power Project in District Khandwa but the final decision in this matter is still awaited. For implementing R&D activities of the Corporation, NHDC has entered into an MOU with Central Power Research Institute(CPRI) for Assessment and Monitoring of Research Projects of NHDC Ltd. for a period of three years. For implementing of these R&D activities budget of Rs. 323 lakhs has been earmarked in the current Financial Year. Shri K.M. Singh, Chief Executive Director, NHDC and other senior officers of NHPC and NHDC were also present on this occasion.
